Best Selling novel The Lincoln Lawyer hits theaters this Friday March 18th, 2011

// March 15th, 2011 // No Comments » // Trailers

In the gripping thriller “The Lincoln Lawyer,” Matthew McConaughey stars as Michael “Mick” Haller, a slick, charismatic Los Angeles criminal defense attorney who operates out of the back of his Lincoln Continental sedan. Having spent most of his career defending petty, gutter-variety criminals, Mick unexpectedly lands the case of a lifetime: defending a rich Beverly Hills playboy (Ryan Phillippe) who is accused of attempted murder.

However, what initially appears to be a straightforward case with a big money pay-off swiftly develops into a deadly match between two masters of manipulation and a crisis of conscience for Haller.

Directed by Brad Furman from a screenplay by John Romano, based on the novel by Michael Connelly, the cast also includes Marisa Tomei, Josh Lucas, John Leguizamo, Michael Peña, with Bryan Cranston and William H. Macy.

What’s in theaters this Friday January 21st, 2011?

// January 20th, 2011 // No Comments » // Trailers

So you want to go to the movies this weekend, eh? Let’s take a look at what’s releasing and if it’s even worth you spending your money on it.

First we have Producer/Writer/Director John Wells (ER, West Wing) debut as a feature director with

‘The Company Men’ starring Ben Affleck, Tommy Lee Jones and Chris Cooper playing three guys who were part of the Corporate world and now find themselves unemployed. This particular topic strikes a chord with many of us right about now. However, here is my question: Why would most of us who are going through financial crisis pay to see a movie about individuals going through the same shit?

To be fair the movie got great Buzz at Last years Sundance and was thought to be an Oscar contender. The Weinstein’s promised to work the marketing side of this project, but that shit clearly didn’t happen. The Weinstein’s focused more on ‘The King’s Speech’ and even Affleck’s energy was geared to his feature ‘The Town’ so this little movie got the pink slip.

Here is the Trailer for ‘THE COMPANY MEN’

Next we have ‘No Strings Attached a comedy-drama with Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman in which they play Adam and Emma.

They are childhood friends and like any male/female friendship they almost ruin it by getting down with each other. Not a good look, I don’t think this concept has ever worked but it seems like some pendejo thought it was a good idea to make into a movie. You know once you tap that ass someone is gonna catch feelings. Will it be Ashton or Natalie. I think the movie is gonna be a crap fest, but I’m always down to see Natalie in her panties so I’m not hating that much. Check out the trailer and see for yourself:

Here is the GREEN LANTERN TRAILER!!! Yeah boy!!

// November 16th, 2010 // No Comments » // Trailers, What's Poppin

In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan. Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax…he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

Is it just me or is Anthony Hopkins still a badass? Check out his new movie.
