The adaptation in the works for the book The Killer Inside Me by Jim Thompson will be directed by Michael Winterbottom .

If you’re not familiar with Thompson’s name, you probably are familiar with his work, which includes two Stanley Kubrick movies (Paths to Glory and The Killing), plus The Grifters, The Getaway, and After Dark, My Sweet. Dark stuff, mostly, and The Killer Inside Me would suggest more of the same based on the title alone. And yes, it’s pretty screwed up stuff. Casey Affleck, Kate Hudson and Jessica Alba star in the feature.

Affleck will play a sheriff who over the course of the film becomes a homicidal maniac, while Alba plays a pro. Odd that Hudson would show up here. The film only has a $13 million budget, and it’s not a romantic comedy. Well, good for her; I’ve been waiting for Hudson to act again. It’s been eight years.

Michael Winterbottom’s A Killer Inside Me’ trailer was shown at the American Film Market. I do have to give you the heads up as much as I want you to watch it, well it pretty much gives up the whole freaking movie. You know what screw it!! watch the trailer and see some of the disturbing yet interesting things that happen in this movie. Some of the stuff that happens:

* Casey Affleck goes to Jessica Alba’s house, gets angry, pins her down and starts belting her butt. Surprise! She loves it, and bites the sheets.

* Casey Affleck puts his cigar butt out on a dude’s hand. (Like a boss).

* Casey Affleck and Kate Hudson enjoy some kinky choke-play. (The best kind of choke-play).
* Two words: Aggressive fingering. (The only kind of fingering).
* Kate Hudson re-enacts the video for “Smell Yo D***“
* Casey Affleck beats the crap out of Jessica Alba. (Oh sure, they say they like the rough stuff until you learn to box).
