Producers of 2012 “here’s an idea let’s take this shitty premise and make it into a TV show”
// November 5th, 2009 // Where's the Beef
Roland Emmerich, the director/producer of the apocalyptic film 2012 (opening Nov. 13), confirmed that a small-screen version of the end-of-the-world movie is already in the works. All this means is if we’re stupid enough to believe the movie, we should be dumb enough to eat this crap for a few seasons on TV. Emmerich said there was “plenty to do in a TV show” and that 2012 executive producer Mark Gordon – who’s also an exec producer on TV shows like Grey’s Anatomy and Private Practice – would be attached.

Look I could direct traffic!!
First of all the only thing this guy can direct is traffic!!
He made his name with the fluke success of “Stargate” back in 94, this guy cranks out regurgitated material so his movies are stale even before the first reel has run its course. There is no joy or magic in Emmerich’s filmmaking, which is why he should literally quit the biz and maybe become a real-life sausage maker. Which from what I read he has a knack for.
“The plan is that it is 2013 and it’s about what happens after the disaster,” Emmerich said this while walking the red carpet for the 2012 premiere Tuesday. “It is about the resettling of Earth. Right, can we turn back time and get rid of this loser?
HERE IS THE TRAILER FOR 2012:
